Job Requirements

• Languages: Basic English
• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience: Experience is an asset, but not mandatory

Work Environment

• Corn farming
• Dry pea and bean farming
• Vegetable and fruit farming
• Hay farming
• Greenhouse work
• Conditions can be dusty, hot, noisy, and involve livestock

Tasks & Responsibilities

1. Remove brush, debris, wood, and stones from fields and work areas
2. Sort and grade fruits and vegetables based on size, color, shape, and quality to optimize market value
3. Plant, water, cultivate, and irrigate various crops
4. Apply fertilizers and crop sprays as needed
5. Operate farming equipment like tractors and manure spreaders

Crops You’ll Work With

• Cabbage
• carrots
• cauliflowers
• Cucumbers
• zucchinis
• tomatoes (including greenhouse tomatoes)
• Seed corn,
• soybeans

Equipment Experience (if applicable)

• Tractor operation
• Manure spreading equipment

Health & Safety

• Medical exam may be required
• Credit check may apply
• Personal protective gear provided: steel-toed boots, gloves

Physical & Work Conditions

• Fast-paced work, physically demanding tasks
• Lifting heavy loads
• Working under pressure and handling a large workload
• Overtime may be required
• Good hearing and sound discrimination are important
