Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and adjust routes using GPS or other navigation systems to ensure efficient fuel use and reduced emissions.

• Load and unload cargo safely while following company procedures.

• Obtain required permits and documentation for international freight operations.

• Inspect and monitor vehicle conditions, including tires, brakes, lights, and refrigeration units.

• Perform routine maintenance, brake adjustments, and minor roadside repairs when needed.

• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to maintain safety standards.

• Report vehicle performance and issues to central dispatch promptly.

• Ensure compliance with all transport safety and operational guidelines.

Qualifications & Education:

• Education: Secondary (High School) graduation certificate or equivalent.

• Experience: No prior experience required – training will be provided.

• Language: Must be able to communicate in English.

• Work Authorization: Open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and temporary residents with valid work permits.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong driving and navigation skills.

• Knowledge of vehicle inspection and maintenance.

• Dependable, safety-conscious, and punctual.

• Ability to manage time effectively during long routes.

• Good communication with dispatch and customers.

Work Environment:

• Physical, on-road work environment (on-site only).

• May include long hours and varying weather conditions.

• Requires attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
